Textile (Weaving)

Fabric weaving is one of the ancient traditional crafts with deep roots in the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain as it has been known to man and passed on from generation to generation.

Storage Inbuilt Boxes (Mubayet)

Mubayet books are made of wood and are mostly used to keep and store clothes, gold jewelry and other valuable acquisitions, including money and official documents and papers.

Ship building industry

Ship building is one of the traditional industries that the sons of the Kingdom of Bahrain are famous for since old times and which is associated with their life as a nation which lives off the sea and whose sailors are seafarers who called at the various ports of the world.

Pottery

The pottery industry is one of the industries that Bahrain has been famous for since old times and whose outspread since thousands of years has been substantiated by archeological research.

Palm tree products

The manual crafts associated with the palm tree are the best examples of how the Bahraini artisans have exploited the local environment products and harnessing them to manufacture the tools they need in their daily life activities and affairs.

Music and folkloric art have been closely associated with the life of Bahrainis through the ages.

Official Languages: The official language is Arabic. English is very widely spoken and is the principal language of commerce.

Culture

The Kingdom of Bahrain is a Muslim country therefore; most of the people are dressed modestly. Bahrain is also considered one of the most modern countries in the GCC and has a mixture of people of different cultures and nationalities.

MEN

When visiting a mosque shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed. Shoes are also not allowed when you enter the mosque. It is recommended that you talk quietly when you are there.

Traditional Areas: For the central market, clothes can be less formal. You are free to wear anything you like as long as it is respectable.

Malls and Restaurants: Casual clothes are the best choice for such an outing.

Private Homes: When you are invited to an indoor party informal respectable clothes are recommended. Smart casual sounds perfect.

WOMEN

Mosques: Hair, arms and legs must be covered. Loose clothing required. No shoes allowed inside the mosque

Traditional Areas: Souq, villages, central market, etc.Skirts should be below the knee but long skirts and pants are preferable. Short sleeves to long sleeve tops preferable.

Malls: Seef mall, A'ali mall, Dana mall, Bahrain mall etc. Malls are very crowded areas, people are usually smartly dressed at malls.

كيفية الوصول إلى الجزيرة :




يكون الحجز من مكتب الحجز على كورنيش المارينا – بين منتزه الدولفين والنادي البحري – شارع الفاتح .

تكون المغادرة من مرفأ الدور الذي يبعد 35 كم عن مدينة المنامة

( 45 دقيقة بالسيارة – تقريبا ) .

تستغرق الرحلة حوالي 45 دقيقة عبر رحلة مثيرة بالقارب للوصول إلى المنتجع ، يوجد مواقف للسيارات .






برنامج الإقامة في المنتجع :

يشمل إقامة لليلة واحدة ووجبة إفطار وغداء وعشاء ( بوفيه مفتوح ) وتوصيل بالقارب .

يمكن المغادرة عن طريق مكتب الحجوزات على كورنيش المارينا

( إلا أنني أرى أن المغادرة من مرفأ الدور أفضل وإبقاء السيارة هناك آمن ) ..

يمكن تمديد الإقامة عن طريق مكتب الاستقبال في المنتجع لذا يتم حجز ليلة واحدة أفضل .

· تزيد أسعار الغرف خلال الإجازات والأعياد – ولكن تعتبر الأسعار جيدة بالنسبة للخدمات والموقع .

· يحضر أخذ المأكولات والمشروبات خلال الرحلة – (ومن واقع تجربة لابد من أخذ بعض البسكويتات والمأكولات الخفيفة والماء والعصير لارتفاع أسعارها هناك – علما بأنه لايتم تفتيش الحقائب والأمتعة خلال الرحلة )

· يوجد على الجزيرة محمية للمها العربي- تجد المها مساء قريبا من المنتجع .

· الرحلة بالحافلة داخل الجزيرة ممتعة تشاهد من خلالها بعض معالم الجزيرة والسكان المحليين هناك .




· التوجه للمنتجع بالقارب استمتاع جيد فلا تنسى تسجيل تلك اللحظات بالكاميرا .

· السكن في الفندق أفضل من الشقق لبعد الشقق قليلا عن الفندق ولأن الفعاليات داخل الفندق .
